Who I Am
Sara Byrnes is an MFA candidate at UNCW who is studying nonfiction. She earned a BA in strategic communications and creative writing from Elon University. She is the managing editor of the award-winning magazine Ecotone. She is also involved with two undergraduate writing organizations, Flair Magazine, where she serves as the director of writing, and The Seahawk, where she is a staff writer. She has work forthcoming in Hobart. She is seeking representation for her Mormon memoir: Prey. She is at work on a novel about rural Connecticut. You can find her walking in nature or with her cat in her free time (which she doesn’t have much of).
